Getting Ready for Rolla’s April Election

16 Candidates have filed to run for Rolla City Council in the April 6, 2021 election. Since filing, James Lewis and Steve Leonard have withdrawn from the race. Residents wishing to vote in this election must be registered by March 10.

Now is the time to learn about the candidates. Most of the candidates have set up a campaign website or facebook page where you can get to know more about them and ask them questions. We urge voters to educate themselves on identifying and voting for good leaders. While it may seem unimportant for local officials, it is actually far more important than who is your Governor or President. When it comes down to it, it’s the local officials that interpret, apply, or defy the orders that come down from the top.
